Venturing is the co-ed part of Boy Scouts of America. A unit (like a Troop) is called a "crew." A crew can center its activities around anything that follows the goals of Scouting. For example, one San-Jose-area crew is a rock band.
Venturing Crew 790 is based in Gilroy, California, with the shooting sports (archery, hunting, rifle, pistol, muzzleloader, and shotgun) and hunting as our specialties, as well as cooking. (Imagine a "pizza stew" cooked in a Dutch oven, smoked trout, or venison jerky dried over cherry wood.) We also enjoy going out and riding ATVs.
